Glad Tidings Academy Launches Capital Campaign to Expand After-School Care Facility

Thomasville, GA, May 1, 2025: Glad Tidings Academy, a ministry of GracePointe Church, is
excited to announce the launch of a capital campaign to fund a much-needed expansion of its After-School Care Program.

As enrollment continues to grow, the Academy faces a pressing space limitation. Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, Glad Tidings Academy will be at full capacity — with no room to accommodate the many new families seeking after-school care. To meet this demand, the Academy plans to build a new After-School Care facility on its Highway 19 property, providing space for an additional 50 children. The project will:

● Increase total after-school enrollment to 72 children
● Expand the pre-school program capacity to 24 children
● Open two new all-day care rooms, growing the full-day program to 116 children — more
than doubling current capacity

“There is a profound need for additional childcare services in Thomasville,” said Pastor Brent Welch. “We are well-positioned to help meet that need through this expansion — but we cannot do it alone. We are calling on the community to join us in making this vision a reality.”

Glad Tidings Academy is seeking support from local businesses, community leaders, and
individuals to fund this project through donations, sponsorships, and grant opportunities.

Every dollar raised will help expand access to safe, nurturing, faith-based childcare services in the Thomasville area.
