OUR 10 BASIC TENETS OF FAITH
1. We believe the Word of God is inspired, infallible, inerrant, and that God's Word declares His plan, design and will for mankind!
(2 Timothy 3:16 and 16:2, 2 Peter 1:19-21; Matthew 5:18; Psalm 119:160)
2. We believe there is only one true God revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit commonly referred to as "the Trinity."
(Isaiah 48:16 and 61:1; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14)
3. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He came to earth born of a virgin and lived his life here on earth without sin and that as God's son He was both human and divine. We believe He gave his life at Calvary as a ransom for many and that through Him we might be reconciled to God and have a relationship with God. (Revelation 1;17 and 22:13; Hebrews 1:8; Colossians 2:9; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; 1 Peter 2:22; Hebrews 4:15; 1 John 3:5; Mark 10:45; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
4. We believe man was created by God and man was created perfect, but man willingly sinned by disobeying God thus ushering in sin, evil and death, both physical and spiritual, in the world. (Genesis 1:26-28 and 3:1-24; Romans 5:12-21)
5. We believe everyone can enjoy restored fellowship and relationship with God and be saved through faith in Jesus Christ. This is evidenced by repentance from sin, trusting Jesus as Savior, and serving Jesus as Lord, the evidence of which is a new life where old things are passed away and all things are become new. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-13; Matthew 3:1-12 and 4:17; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
6. We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service in the world, the initial physical evidence of which is speaking in tongues as experienced at the Day of Pentecost and referenced through the book of Acts and the Epistles. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4 and 10:44-48; Act 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 14:18 and Jude 20)
7. We believe and practice water baptism and communion. Water Baptism (by immersion) serving as a visible demonstration that we are living a brand new life where old things have passed away and all things have become new as we have decided to follow Jesus; and Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Jesus' suffering and death for our salvation. (Matthew 3:13-17, Acts 2.41; Luke 22:13-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30)
8. We believe in divine healing and when Jesus shed His blood for humanity he had the whole person in mind; God is able to touch our lives and bring healing in the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional realms. (Exodus 15:25-26; Isaiah 53:4; Mark 3:13-15; James 5: 13-15; 1 Peter 2:24)
9. We believe in the "Blessed Hope" commonly referred to as "the Rapture of the church" and that it is the next major event on God's redemptive calendar. (1 Corinthians 15:50-53, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Luke 21:34-36)
10. We believe in the eschatological blue-print of Scripture which includes the millennial reign of Christ, the final judgment and the new heavens and new earth. (Revelation 20:1-27)
